Part Time AP/AR Specialist - Backlog Project

Boston- South End ONSITE REQUIRED

Start Immediately!

25 hours week

M, W, F Required Days for Training

Regular schedule - M, W & additional day

$27-31/hour commensurate on experience

Our residential construction client located in Boston is seeking a Part-Time AP/AR Specialist to assist with a backlog accounting project. This is an immediate temporary opportunity with potential for extension or full time based on project needs and performance.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Full Cycle AP/AR experience in Construction industry required.
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting highly preferred
  • Expertise in Discrepancy Finding & Resolution, Invoicing, Vendor Payment Processing, Journal Entries, Month End Close, Vendor Communication & Management
  • 3+ years in project-based billing, job costing, and progress billing
  • Sage experience required, High proficiency in Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with project budgets, and general ledger transactions a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Accounts Payable invoices and payments for overhead and job costs.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, including progress billing, client follow-up, and payment processing.
  • Support backlog clean-up for job costing, project billing, and client deposits.
  • Assist with General Ledger postings, journal entries, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare change orders, purchase orders, and subcontract commitments.
  • Participate in billing and payable/receivable meetings as needed.
